Never had a chance to learn to skate?
You can skate in hockey or figure skates, but would like to try speed skating?
Grew up as a speed skater and would like to get back to it?
We have programs for adults, too!

Adult Learn to Skate

Join one of our learn to skate programs, on your own, or at the same time as your children.

You can bring your own skates, or if we have skates to fit you, you can try speed skates.  Helmets and gloves must be worn on the ice.

Recreational 14+

Do you have good skating skills, but little or no speed skating experience?  Start with our Recreational 14+ program.  Offered at 7:10 PM Tuesdays starting October 1, 2019.

Short track protective equipment required.
Contact the registrar at  902-443-8781 or registrar@dcspeedskate.ca for information about equipment requirements.

Masters Program

Already have strong speed skating skills?  Join our Masters program (contact head coach Todd Landon to confirm eligibility for this program).

Short track protective equipment required.  Contact the registrar at  902-443-8781 or registrar@dcspeedskate.ca for information about equipment requirements.
