Update:  see photos from camp here:
Dartmouth Crossing Speed Skating is hosting an Ellis Edge Training Camp for female coaches and skaters on the weekend of October 8-10, 2021. The camp will be led by Sue Ellis, who is a level 4 NCCP coach and was the coach of the 2002 US Olympic Short Track Team. She will be assisted by Hannah Duguay, who has participated in many Canadian championships as well as Canada Games, winning medals in the relay in both. Hannah coaches in both the Saint John and Hampton clubs in NB and has been involved in speed skating for about 15 years.

The camp will be held at the RBC Centre at 259 Commodore Drive in Dartmouth, NS.

This will be a technical camp, focusing on skills. The off-ice instruction is preparatory to each on-ice training session that follows and will include video analysis and dry land training. This is an opportunity for coaches to learn new training techniques and for skaters to increase their technical skills. It will also be an opportunity to meet other female coaches and skaters and share experience with them.

We expect that there will still be Covid-19 safety measures in place based on case numbers. More info will be provided shortly before the camp when the current status of the safety measures is known. For the safety of all, we highly recommend that all participants are vaccinated and would ask your cooperation on this.

Please note that the camp may be cancelled if the Public Health authorities introduce restrictions based on case numbers.
Space is limited, so please register early. There is no fee for coaches, and a fee of $20 for skaters (if there are financial barriers for skaters, please contact the organizers). The minimum age for skaters is 12.
