Dartmouth Crossing Interclub Minimeet November 30, 2019

Event:
Please join us on November 30, 2019 for a fun morning of racing.  There will be a variety of races from learn to skate to intermediate speed skating and Special Olympics levels.  Skaters must be able to complete one lap of the track without a skating aid.

Registration is available through your club registrar.


Format:
Races are on the 100 M and 85 M tracks.

Saturday, November 30, 2019

Location:
The meet is held on the Olympic size Arena D at the RBC Centre at 259 Commodore Drive, Dartmouth NS.  Entering Halifax-Dartmouth from the east on NS-118, take Exit 12 by the IKEA store to Wright Ave, then left on Findlay Drive and right on Commodore Drive.  From the west, take the Burnside Drive exit from NS-111 and turn right on Commodore Drive.

Entry fee:
$20 per skater. 

Entry deadline:
November 19, 2019, or earlier if maximum registration of 40 skaters is reached.

Check in:
Skaters must arrive no later than 8:00 AM

Officials, coaches and parents meeting
8:15 AM in the Speed Skating Equipment Room

Warm Ups:
Warmups at 8:45 AM, racing begins at 9:00 AM.

Mandatory equipment:
Per SSC rules:
  • Speed skating or CSA approved hockey, snowboard/ski/skateboarding helmet
  • Clear glasses with a strap
  • Bib-type neck guard
  • Cut-resistant gloves
  • Knee pads
  • Shin guards
  • Ankle protection (Kevlar or Dyneema)
